A workout is one hour of your day. How you sleep, when you see light, what you eat and how much you move the rest of the time decide whether that hour pays off. Remote advisory is my coaching for everything outside the gym, one-on-one over video, wherever you are.
Remote advisory doesn't need a gym or an assessment in person. It needs an honest look at how you live, and someone to keep you on track every week.
Everything happens over video and messaging, in your time zone. You never need to get on a plane.
Your plan travels with you: sleep and light timing for each trip, eating on the road, and movement that fits a hotel day.
Keep your trainer or your routine. I work on the sleep, energy and eating that decide whether your training pays off.
They work together. Better sleep makes eating well easier, light sets your sleep, and movement through the day helps all of it. So we work on them as one plan, a few changes at a time.
Not just more hours. A consistent sleep window, a wind-down that works, a bedroom set up for it, and caffeine and alcohol timed so they stop costing you deep sleep.
Light, meals and activity anchored to your wake time, so energy shows up when you need it. Jet lag plans for every trip, built before you fly.
What to eat, how much and when, for your goal and your real week. Client dinners, travel days and family meals included. No crash diets.
The activity outside your workouts: walking, standing, breaks from the desk and time outdoors. For most busy people it's the easiest win they're missing.
"Matt taught me how to breathe correctly which is the most important thing to me. It helps me with exercises and to be able exert more energy off a breath. Also being able to breathe and slow my heart rate down whenever I'm conditioning or even just when I'm trying to go to sleep it's essential."
Where in-person coaching starts with how your body moves, remote advisory starts with how your days actually run.
Your sleep, schedule, travel, eating, activity, energy, health history and goals, filled in on your own time before we talk.
A video call where we go through your answers together, find the few habits costing you the most, and agree on one clear goal.
Built from what we found, in order of impact. You change one or two things at a time, not twenty, so the changes actually stick.
A 30-minute call every week to review what happened and decide what's next. The plan is updated whenever it needs to be, not on a fixed schedule.
Pricing is shared on our first conversation, once we both know it's a fit. I keep a small number of remote clients.
I'm Matt Wilkins, a Board-Certified Athletic Trainer with an M.S.Ed. in Exercise Physiology. Since 2017 I've prepared athletes across the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, MLS, PGA TOUR and IndyCar, where sleep, travel and recovery decide who's ready. Remote advisory brings that part of my work to you. You work with me directly, never an assistant or an app.
See my in-person coaching in MiamiNot as part of remote advisory. It's built to sit alongside whatever training you already do, with your own trainer or on your own.
No. The audit, the plan and the coaching all happen over video and messaging. If you're ever in town, you're welcome to book an in-person session.
That's normal. We schedule the weekly call at a time that works for both of us, and messages don't need us to be awake at the same time.
This is coaching, not medical care. If your questionnaire points to something a physician should look at, such as signs of sleep apnea, I'll tell you and can work alongside your doctor.
I share pricing on our first conversation, once I know what you need and you know how I work.
Tell me where you're based and what you'd most like to change. I read every message myself.
